Limnophila aromatica - A hardy, moisture loving perennial herb, used both as a medicinal and culinary herb in Asia. Grow in boggy soil to a few centimetres under water. The plant is used raw, cooked or dried in cooking, and is said to have a lemon and cumin taste and aroma. Also said to be a good substitute for cumin. Rice Paddy Herb has long been used in folk medicine in Asia. Can also be used as an aquarium plant. Grow in full sun to part shade, and protect from frosts.
