Allium nutans - PER BULB - A beautiful, hardy, edible perennial onion. Blue Chives are a very rare plant. Produces pretty long lasting pink flowers in summer. The flowers being very attractive to bees and other beneficial insects. Frost hardy. 40 cms height. Blue Chives will grow in most moist well drained soil types. Grow in full sun to part shade. All parts of the plant are edible raw or cooked. Bulbs multiply to form clumps. A new plant for me so far its growing very well, coping with all of my weather conditions well. And also a very tasty vegetable and very productive.
